A window is a clock. Track how a square of sun crawls across a wall. You will understand the house better than any floorplan.
The roof hour
Dusk from above is not a panorama to own. It is laundry, dishes, a radio, someone watering a plant in a tin.
Ask to sit. Do not assume a terrace is a public balcony because the view is wide.
Bring pastry, not a tripod army. If you are invited up, stay for the length of a glass. Leave before you become furniture that was not requested.
